ROME, February 15, 2023<\/p>

Building a new organization to support the future of the entire entertainment industry in a time of such long and deep crisis may seem like an impossible mission.<\/p>

But sometimes challenges can be overcome.<\/p>

After several months of intense and productive collaboration and study of the sector\u2019s key goals and objectives, UNISCA (Coordination of the Creative, Entertainment, and Performing Arts Sector) was officially established on October 12, 2021, in Bologna.<\/p>

UNISCA is an independent and autonomous association made up of highly diverse entities, all united by a shared passion for the core values of art, entertainment, and labor, seen as essential pillars of civil coexistence, democracy, and freedom for everyone.<\/p>

On February 15, 2023, the UNISCA Assembly renewed its trust in the members of the Board of Directors<\/p>

  • Compatangelo Maria Letizia (Board Member),<\/li>
  • Formisano Claudio (Board Member),<\/li>
  • Mascetti Giovanna Maria (Board Member),<\/li>
  • Pontoriero Michele Massimo (President),<\/li>
  • Trotta Claudio Giovanni Umberto (Board Member and Deputy Vice President).

    <\/li><\/ul>

    Thanking the members for their unified and cohesive collaboration, the Board stated its commitment to continuing its mandate, following the programmatic guidelines widely shared by the Assembly.<\/p>

    The President emphasized that UNISCA\u2019s strategy remains focused on creating synergy within the Creativity, Arts, and Entertainment sector through institutional activities and political dialogue:<\/p>

    \u201cWe must strengthen the united representation of all the diverse forces in the sector, enhancing their social and cultural \u2018biodiversity.\u2019<\/em><\/p>

    We must participate in an open and competent dialogue in every public initiative, at local, national, and international levels (from the Observatory to ministerial tables, from fairs to conferences), to demonstrate the real quantitative and qualitative impact of the sector and to promote the aggregation of various categories of workers, businesses, and non-commercial entities.<\/em><\/p>

    To this end, starting this year, we are committed to launching a major media campaign to raise awareness about the Risk of Extinction of National Culture.\u201d<\/em><\/p>

    Spokesperson Claudio Trotta reflected on the association\u2019s origins, recalling that:<\/p>

    \u201cParadoxically, UNISCA \u2013 which aims to foster the healthy and vital concept of togetherness \u2013 was born after months of online conversations, from our own homes, among people who often met only during the long blackout suffered by the live entertainment and events industry.\u201d<\/em><\/p>
