Moving Systems – Festivals, Networks and New Alliances for the Future of the Arts in Public Space: a European Dialogue in the Framework of ‘The State of (Outdoor) Arts

What happens when festivals are not just events, but become cultural infrastructures, hubs, generators of the future?
It is from this question that Moving Systems was born, the panel promoted by Outdoor Arts Italia within the second edition of the convention ‘The State of (Outdoor) Arts’, an open and choral meeting that starts from the concrete experience of three realities active in the sector, all supported by the Ministry of Culture – Single Fund for the Performing Arts, Article 45 – Transversal Actions with focus on the generational turnover. The protagonists of the discussion are Anna Giribet, Artistic Director of FiraTàrrega (Spain), one of the main European festivals dedicated to street arts and contemporary creation; Filippo Malerba, Artistic Director of 4XQuattro, engaged in cultural practices that relate the public, the landscape and participatory processes; Davide Perissutti, Founder of Circo all’inCirca, an emerging reality in the contemporary circus and social innovation scene. To moderate, the curator and project manager Eleonora Ariolfo, expert in transdisciplinary and participatory artistic practices. Special contribution by Massimo Pontoriero, who will speak on the issue of professional recognition of outdoor artists, starting from the experience shared at the recent conference of the Trainers of Audio-tactile Music in Rome. The panel, conducted in the form of a dialogue, will offer a critical and proactive look at the challenges that still hinder a full professional appreciation of the figures working in the public space.
